Lost Isle monuments and Infested Landmarks

What are monuments?

The official Early Access feature list describes six high-risk, high-reward areas called monuments where the rarest loot can be found. Their names, exact mechanics, encounter tables and loot pools are not currently published on the Steam listing.

What are Infested Landmarks?

Open Playtest III advertised 25 improved and unique Infested Landmark areas. The announcement does not say that these 25 areas replace or include the six monuments, so the figures should not be combined into a total of 31 confirmed launch locations.

Procedural worlds and location guides

The official description says point-of-interest locations are among the systems designed to be procedurally generated. Fixed coordinate maps and permanent farming routes would therefore require direct testing of a current server and may not transfer between wipe cycles.

Related world events

Development Log #18 separately describes Breaches and Invasions. Breaches are multi-phase encounters, while Invasions summon multiple Breaches inside a township. They should not be silently relabeled as monuments or Infested Landmarks.
